How to ease the pulling of a loadTo ease the pulling of a log (or other load) we suggest you use a single pulley (PCA-1274). Installed as high as possible in a tree near the winch, it helps lifting the front of the log to prevent friction and can also be used to deviate the load when needed. Light, this pulley will easily be carried around and will give you more pulling opportunities. < Click image to enlarge |

How to double the pulling powerSince the winch gives 1136 kg (2500 lb) of pulling power in single line, you can double its capacity using two single pulleys (PCA-1274). You will then get 2272 kg (5000 lb) of pulling power. If the first one is installed as high as possible in a tree near the winch, it will help prevent friction. The second one will be attached to the load. Very practical, these two pulleys will get you out of trouble. < Click image to enlarge |

How to triple the pulling powerSince the winch gives 1136 kg (2500 lb) of pulling power in single line, you can triple its capacity using one single pulley (PCA-1274) and one double pulley (PCA-1273). You will then get 3408 kg (7500 lb) of pulling power. The double pulley will be attached as high as possible in a tree near the winch (which will help prevent friction). The single pulley will be attached to the load. Most people opt for this pulley combination since they allow a lot of different applications while offering a lot of power. < Click image to enlarge |

How to quadruple the pulling powerSince the winch gives 1136 kg (2500 lb) of pulling power in single line, you can quadruple its capacity using two double pulleys (PCA-1273). You will then get 4544 kg (10 000 lb) of pulling power. The first double pulley will be attached as high as possible in a tree near the winch (which will help prevent friction). The second one will be attached to the load. With these two double pulleys, you will be able to move very heavy loads. There are almost no limits to what the winch can do. < Click image to enlarge |

Lifting a loadFirst, you need to know The Portable Winch is not intended for lifting purposes. Never use the Portable Winch to lift people. If you wish to use the winch for lifting purposes, you MUST use AT ALL TIME a self-blocking pulley in your set-up. This pulley will prevent the load to suddenly fall in case a problem occurs with the installation or the operator. The use of a pulling device implies serious risks of injuries, property damage or even death. Do not underestimate its potential danger. |
