The elevating face lifts and tumbles the material through the windrow to improve composting and air flow. The teeth are held in place using grade 5 and grade 8 3/8" bolts. The grade 5 bolt acts as a shear point for the tooth should teeth come in contact with large contaminates in pile such as rocks and metals. The grade 8 bolt will retain the tooth to the machine, so as to not lose the tooth in the pile. |

Vermeer CT1010TX Compost Turner

The CT1010TX is a self-propelled compost turner with elevating-face technology. The machine can be used on compost sites with either continuous-stack or windrow configurations.
Powered by a 215 hp (160 kW) diesel engine, the CT1010TX can process between 2500 and 4000 cubic yards (1911 to 3058 cubic meters) of compost per hour depending on the type of material and moisture content. The machine can turn a windrow up to 10 feet (3 m) wide and 9 feet (2.7 m) high.
The patented elevating-face technology lifts and tumbles the compost material reducing degradation and introducing more oxygen into the compost pile. Machine can be equipped with either vanes for windrows or a 48-inch (122 cm) wide conveyor to create a continuous-stack.
