Features and benefits

Patented Elevating Face Effective way to introduce oxygen into the compost pile. Completely transfers the compost from ground level to help ensure proper aeration of the pile. The elevating face lifts and tumbles the material through the windrow to improve composting and air flow. The teeth are held in place using grade 5 and grade 8 3/8" bolts. The grade 5 bolt acts as a shear point for the tooth should teeth come in contact with large contaminates in pile such as rocks and metals. The grade 8 bolt will retain the tooth to the machine, so as to not lose the tooth in the pile.
Rear Vanes Help direct material flow off the face and back into a windrow. This feature helps keep the windrows narrow in size and does not require additional equipment to go back in and reform after turning.
Cummins Engine Self-contained engine package on the turner provides efficient horsepower transfer to the elevating face. The hydraulics required to operate the tongue and face, functions are on board the turner as well. No hydraulic hook-up or additional moving parts, such as a PTO, are needed to operate the turner. This allows the turner to be pulled using tow vehicles such as a low horsepower tractor or wheel-loader.
Pivoting Tongue Allows the operator to position turner behind the tow vehicle for transporting around the yard, between the windrows, or along roadways. Using the remote, the operator can aslo swing the tongue out, positioning the turner over the windrow and the tow vehicle along the side and clear of the pile during processing.
Elevating face lift cylinder This allows the operator to position the face according to ground conditions to help completely turn the compost pile thus providing maximum aeration of the compost.
Tethered Remote Provides the operator with full controls of the compost turner from the convenience of the tow vehicle. Once the engine is started all operation can be done via remote.

Vermeer CT670 Compost Turner

A New Solution for your Composting Needs.

The Vermeer CT670 is a pull-type compost turner featuring the patented elevating face technology designed to to lift and tumble compost material up the face of the compost turner and discharge at the rear of the machine. This process introduces more oxygen into the compost and helps provide proper aeration of the windrow. This innovative process does not degrade the compost material and helps decrease cycle times.

Capable of turning a compost pile up to 12 foot wide and 6 foot high in two passes, the CT670 can process up to 2,000 cubic yards of compost per hour.
